MAITA'I CATAMARAN
High tide conditions during the summer make it necessary for the boat to board at one of two different locations – the Sheraton Waikiki (2275 Kalia Rd) and Ft. DeRussy Beach, which is about 800 ft away (2131 Kalia Rd). Call us the day of your sail to find out where we are boarding that day, parking, and exact directions.
The Maita’i Catamaran Booth and Landing Area are located on the beach in between the Halekulani Hotel and the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. There is a map at the bottom of this page to assist you.
Parking

Parking is available at the Sheraton Waikiki and the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. Other parking is available nearby – click for the Waikiki Parking Map – zoom in on the Royal Hawaiian. Allow $10-$20 for parking. We do not validate parking, but if you buy a drink or snack in the hotel, you can get a 4 hour validation for Sheraton Waikiki Parking.

Getting to the Boat from Parking and Other Points in Waikiki

Kalakaua Ave is the main street through Waikiki. Walk towards the Sheraton Waikiki (2255 Kalakaua) and find either of the cross streets – Lewers St (Google view) or Royal Hawaiian Ave (Google view). On either street, walk beachward (opposite from the mountains).

If you are on Lewers St, walk to the end of the street (beachward) and turn left on Kalia Rd. Walk to the end of Kalia Rd and turn right at the Beach Access Lane. (Google view) The Maita’i Catamaran Booth is at the end of the Beach Access Lane.

If you are on Royal Hawaiian Ave or at the parking structures, walk through the Sheraton Waikiki Lobby all the way to RumFire and the Infinity Pool at the beach end of the lobby. When at the pool, walk to and through the Pool Bar (#36 on the lobby link map) and down the stairs to the beach. The Maita’i Catamaran Booth is at the end of the walkway at the bottom of the stairs, past the surf board racks, showers, and watersports center.(#35)
