Parking is available at the Sheraton Waikiki and the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. Other parking is available nearby – click for the Waikiki Parking Map – zoom in on the Royal Hawaiian. Allow $10-$20 for parking. We do not validate parking, but if you buy a drink or snack in the hotel, you can get a 4 hour validation for Sheraton Waikiki Parking.
Kalakaua Ave is the main street through Waikiki. Walk towards the Sheraton Waikiki (2255 Kalakaua) and find either of the cross streets – Lewers St (Google view) or Royal Hawaiian Ave (Google view). On either street, walk beachward (opposite from the mountains).
If you are on Lewers St, walk to the end of the street (beachward) and turn left on Kalia Rd. Walk to the end of Kalia Rd and turn right at the Beach Access Lane. (Google view) The Maita’i Catamaran Booth is at the end of the Beach Access Lane.
If you are on Royal Hawaiian Ave or at the parking structures, walk through the Sheraton Waikiki Lobby all the way to RumFire and the Infinity Pool at the beach end of the lobby. When at the pool, walk to and through the Pool Bar (#36 on the lobby link map) and down the stairs to the beach. The Maita’i Catamaran Booth is at the end of the walkway at the bottom of the stairs, past the surf board racks, showers, and watersports center.(#35)
Walk towards the Sheraton Waikiki and find the Sheraton Cement Boardwalk. The Maita’i Catamaran Landing Area is at the end of the boardwalk at the bottom of the stairs. (Google view) From most of the hotels in Waikiki, you will be walking away from Diamond Head, but from the Hilton, Hale Koa, Outrigger Reef, and Halekulani, you will walk towards Diamond Head and find the Halekulani Cement Boardwalk. The Maita’i Catamaran Landing Area is at the Diamond Head end of the boardwalk, past the small tree. (Google view)
Have the taxi take you to the Halekulani Hotel on Kalia Rd. Walk to the end of Kalia Rd and turn right at the Beach Access Lane. The Maita’i Catamaran Booth is at the end of the Beach Access Lane. (Google view)
